A lot of people in our city believe that if you go to this church in Sulangan, Guiuan, Samar and attend the mass, your prayers will be granted. And once granted, you must go back and offer a thanksgiving mass. We went there last Sunday since there are a lot of things that we should be thankful for. We left as early as 6:00 in the morning to be able to attend the 9:00 mass. It’s a 3 hour land trip from Tacloban City. Because of the rush, I forgot to eat breakfast. And because of that, I barfed on the way to Sulangan. The mass started at 9:00 and ended at 11:00. There are a lot of people who offer thanksgiving mass and it takes 30 minutes to read the list of those who offered. Before we went home, we decided to drop by at Caluayan Beach Resort to eat snacks. The last time I was there, the pool area was full of Chinese hunks. This time, it’s full of girls in skimpy bikinis. I was not one of them, just so you know.

Sembreak is over. My brother is now in Manila because he still have to register for the oath taking. Classes were supposed to start last Monday but every time I would go to school, no classes were held that’s because most of the students haven’t enrolled yet. I don’t regret coming to school even without classes. At least I got to see my crush. I love his new haircut. hehe. I only have 5 subjects as of now, 16 units. I’m planning to add one subject, CSCI16 Data Communications and Networking, Monday to Friday 1:00-2:00, 3 units. So that would be a total of 19 units. My friend, Percy, was forced to shift courses because she’s the only IM student left. The school couldn’t find a teacher for some of her subjects. I hope that next week, there would be regular classes already. Here’s my current schedule for this semester. I maybe online during vacants.

The day after my brother’s blowout, I anxiously went to school to enroll. Yes, I was anxious because now that the whole school knows that my brother passed the board exams, I feel pressured because I know there would be some people who would expect me to be as good as him. Well, sorry to disappoint you guys, but I’m not even half as good as him. Before I left, my dad gave me P2000. P1000 is for downpayment for school (but I only paid P20 because I have an excess of P6000 last term), the other P1000 is for my haircut and the hair treatment that I’m going to buy for my extremely damaged hair.
Moving on, as I was walking through our school’s hallway, I saw the name of my brother on the bulletin board. I didn’t feel anxious anymore, instead, I felt proud, very proud that I almost wanted to scream at the top of my lungs and dance even though I have two left feet. LOL. Our school director told my mom at the party that they would put up a streamer outside the school by next week. I can’t wait. I have to remember to bring a cam and take a picture of it and show it to my brother or better yet, I’ll just drag him to school and let him see for himself.
I already have my grade slip. My GWA is 2.69. I’m not qualified to be a Dean’s lister. To be able to qualify, a student must have a minimum load of 15 units, a GPA of 1.75 or above, no grade lower than 2.50 for academic subjects and 2.75 for non-academic subjects. Oh well, better luck next time.
I went straight to Dettie Panis salon after enrolling. My dad’s a regular client there. Their services and their products are good but quite expensive. Haircut costs P100, the hair treament costs P630 and application of the treatment costs P180. After shampooing my hair, I sat at the chair where an attendant was waiting for me. She put the gunk on my hair and started massaging my head, neck, shoulders and back. It really felt good especially after the stress of enrolling. I could have fallen asleep if only she would have shut her mouth. That was my very first exhilarating massage experience.

My brother passed the ECE board exams. So we decided to have a double celebration party tonight. We would be celebrating my brother’s success and my father’s 56th birthday. The party was held at Kanhuraw. There were only a few AMAers who came. I was expecting that a lot of AMAers (students and alumni) will come, but I was not expecting that the school staff, some faculty members and our school director would be there. I invited my friends from ABE. It’s been a while since I last saw Lenai, Carol and Germaine. There were three AMAers who shared the table with us, Christian, Christopher and Kevin. Christian and Christopher are members of the local band Figure05 and Kevin’s a constant YM chatmate.

I miss them.

L-R: Christian, Angeli and Kevin

L-R: Christian, Angeli and Christopher (yes, they are twins.)
Just in case they would be famous, at least I now have a picture with them.

Welcome to my new English blog. It’s still under construction. I still have to upload plugins via FTP. I just finished importing my blog posts from my old blog. I kinda had problems doing that. I still don’t know how to make a personalized wordpress theme. I suck at PHP. I just used this pre-made wordpress theme that looks a lot like Deviantart. hehe.
