I was not quite impressed with 2NE1’s live performance. Dara and Park Bom didn’t quite stand out. Dara needs to work with her timing in dancing because in the intro part, it seems to me that Dara is dancing to a different beat. Hindi kasi sabay eh. During the performance, you can notice that Park Bom was starting to get exhausted. She also lacks stage presence and facial expression. Too bad because I like Dara and Park Bom because they’re cute but being cute and pretty isn’t enough. On the other hand, CL and Minji maintained a high energy and performance level. Have you seen Minji dance? I’m so impressed that 15 year old Minji, the youngest among the four, can bust out some cool moves. If Dara and Park Bom don’t step up, 2NE1 will be all about CL and Minji. Did 2NE1 lived up to your expectations? You be the judge. For me, I’m not sure but I’m giving them another chance because I really like them and besides, they’re just starting out so I hope to see some improvements. Aja, 2NE1.
I have a new phone. My dad bought it last Saturday when he was in Manila. It’s a Nokia 3120 classic. I wanted the white one but it was out of stock, so I chose the black one instead. So far, I’m loving my new phone. It has a 2 megapixel camera at the back and a front VGA camera for video calls. It also has flash. Unfortunately, it doesn’t come with a free memory card so phone storage is very limited, 24mb pfft! It’s okay, I’ll just buy a memory card when I get my allowance. I also need to buy a memory card reader since there’s no cable to connect my phone to the computer. I’m also going to buy a cellphone charm from my friend who makes and sells accesories. I want to buy the jelly wide angle/fish eye lens from Anagon Collection. P500 only. See how much I love my new phone. I’m supposed to be saving up for a DSLR.
I found some pictures of my brother and sister in my phone’s gallery. Turns out, they used my phone right after my dad bought it. So I was not the 1st one to use it. I got excited that I have Sudoku on my phone. OMG! I’m a Sudoku addict. Now that I’ve mentioned Sudoku, I’m gonna end this short entry and play Sudoku. I’ll be posting some pictures from my phone soon, but first I have to buy a memory card and memory card reader.
EDIT:
I found this instrumental cover of BigBang and 2NE1’s Lollipop. I really liked it.
Sorry for not updating. My disease is acting up again. I was brought to the hospital last Saturday night around dinner time. After some few examinations and prick-the-finger-to-get-blood-sample test (sorry, I don’t know what it’s called), I went home. But in less than 30 minutes, I was rushed to the hospital. Nothing serious, I just felt some slight pain in the chest area. To make the long story short, I was confined. I will not discuss the details of what happened during my stay there. I was discharged Monday early morning since my mom had a plane to catch. She went to Palawan with my dad. I was glad to be home because I haven’t been able to get some sleep when I was at the hospital. I’ve mentioned before that I’m scared of staying in hotels because it reminds me of the creepy stories I’ve read. That’s also the same when I’m at the hospital. After 48 hours of no sleep and not being able to eat well (the food sucks at the hospital), I kinda lost some weight. Now, I’m a human toothpick…
There are a lot of things that I want to blog, but maybe next time..
I was browsing Youtube when I saw these two videos of 2NE1. These are music videos for their song “Fire”. Yep, one song, two videos. I don’t know which one is better because they’re just really awesome. I like them both. I like Dara (Sandara Park) now that she’s part of this Korean girl group better than when she was still an actress/singer here in the Philippines. I wonder who is their make-up artist, I really like how their make-up’s done.
The Palarong Pambansa 2009 has officially started a few days ago. The Province of Leyte is this year’s host. The President and the Vice President were in town. The city is swarming with streamers of the politicians that reads “Welcome to the Palarong Pambansa 2009! From [insert name of politician here]!” Traffic was very heavy and the streets were crowded.
My friends and I decided to take a stroll around the city to keep ourselves updated with the happenings. We decided to go to Leyte Sports Development Center (or commonly known as the Grandstand). Since PUV and private vehicles are not allowed to enter the street to Grandstand, we had to walk under the sun. There were many high school students in their school band’s uniform lining up at the gate of Grandstand. There were too many stalls selling different goods like sarong, keychains, Tacloban shirts and souvenirs. There were too many people that I was very careful with my bag, there might be snatchers around. We didn’t get the chance to enter the Grandstand and watch live since the whole place was packed with people. Walking along Paterno Street, a group of ralliers gathered near Liceo del Verbo Divino (formerly known as the Divine Word University) and they kept on saying “Patalsikin si Gloria!” over and over again until the police arrested them for not having a permit to rally.
After walking for several meters, we decided to have lunch at Shakey’s and we went to Leyte Park hotel to hang out while the niece of my friend went swimming.
