Long Weekend

Note: This will be a random post so expect a lot of grammar mistakes.

My sister arrived from Manila last Friday to spend her birthday with us. She brought a friend with her. As I was waiting for them at the airport’s parking lot, I was so excited because we had a lot of things planned for the weekend until the day they would go back to Manila. We had a small party the night they arrived. We spent the night karaoke singing and eating. We also watched “27 Dresses”. I like it but it’s kinda like a rip-off of Rico and Claudine’s movie. But the lead actress is so beautiful.

On Saturday, the day of her birthday, we went to Ormoc to spend an overnight at Sabin hotel. We were supposed to have night swimming but we decided to swim the next morning. I spent the night camwhoring using the cam’s self-timer. There were a lot of running that happened that night. LOL. We started swimming at eight in the morning. I really had fun at the “walking” pool. I call it “walking pool” because I don’t know how to swim, I just walk. After eating breakfast and checking out at the hotel, we went straight to Rafael’s farm which is just a few minutes drive from Tacloban City. We had lunch there. I was really happy because I love that place. And I got to practice taking good pictures. How I wish I had a DSLR but dad’s digicam was already okay. After eating and picture-taking, we were about to leave when I saw my high school batchmate and former college classmate, Jim, with his family.

We also went to San Juanico Bridge. I felt like it was my first time to be there. I’ve been at San Juanico Bridge a couple of times before but I never had my picture taken there. I kinda felt like I was a tourist in our own province.

Yesterday, we didn’t have any classes because of the Sangyaw Festival. We went to Robinson’s to watch Transformers 2 Movie. I was really impressed with the movie. I forgot to bring a jacket. It was really cold inside the movie theater. Note to self: Bring a jacket when going out to watch movies. After watching Transformers 2, we bought some snacks at the supermarket, went home and watched Twilight (again) and Wanted.

My sister and her friend already went back to Manila early this morning. I already miss hanging out with them. Back to the normal boring life.

I Want A Domain Name!

I almost forgot about updating my blog. I’ve been busy playing those addictive Facebook applications. Anyway, classes have started. I got quite confused with room assignments. I have some classes at the main campus but most of my classes will be at the annex campus. I kinda find it quite embarrassing that most of my classmates are younger than I. I’m the second oldest student in our class. Anyway, the whole school is quite busy preparing for the upcoming Sangyaw Festival. Some are also busy for the Pintados-Kasadyaan Festival. Apparently, our city has two festivals which is already very confusing.

I just want to let you all know that the first ‘real’ mall in our city finally opened on June 11, 2009. Yipee! We waited for 2 years, I think, for Robinson’s Place Tacloban to open. I’m glad we now have National Bookstore. I bought a book about caricature but I think I just wasted my money buying it because I don’t know how to draw. I knew I should have just bought the Portrait Photography book.

About the title, I want to have my own domain name. I’ve been canvassing prices and I found a site where domain names cost around P440. I have the money but the problem is I can’t think of a good domain name. I’ve been looking for some words on the dictionary and combining 2 words to create something, but I’m not quite satisfied with what I’ve come up. I really want a domain name that I won’t get tired of using. Can you please suggest some words? EDIT: I already thought of a domain name. Problem is I don’t have PayPal funds.

P.S. About the insomnia, I’m glad that was over.

Insomnia

“Because I can’t sleep til you’re next to me. No I can’t live without you no more…”

Sorry, it’s my LSS right now. Anyway, I’ve been experiencing insomnia for a few weeks now. I can’t sleep until 4:00 or 5:00 in the morning. I would wake up at around noon already. It’s driving me crazy. I hope that when classes starts, I would be able to go to sleep by 10:00 pm. This is also one of the reasons I haven’t been updating my blog. I only get to go online for less than an hour because of the exhaustion due to lack of sleep.

Another reason why I haven’t blogged in a while was that I got hooked up watching the Japanese series “One Liter of Tears”. I did cry a lot while I was watching it. I can totally relate with the story. Why? Secret. LOL. But I was not quite satisfied with the ending. What happened to Haruto and Aya’s relationship? This series reminds me of the movie “A Walk to Remember” because they have the same plot/storyline/concept (whatever you call it). Next series I’m going to watch is Boys Over Flowers. I just want to know what the fuzz is all about.

Updates. My friend, Nica, went back to Cebu. She’s a nursing student in USC. I miss her already. I’m glad that I got to spend some time with her during summer. She just got a new phone just like mine. I bought a cellphone pouch just like hers, but mine was violet while hers is blue. We really have a lot of “things” in common. We went to Mcdo and Jose Karlos, a coffee shop.

I just enrolled myself to a new school (again). I decided to take a 2-year course in Web Applications Development. I went to my school to get my transcript and other files required by the school where I’m transferring. It was kinda shocking to find out that there are a lot of students requesting for their transcripts and honorable dismissal. It seems like I’m not the only one leaving that school.

P.S. I just got my hair rebonded earlier this morning. I’m not blessed with tame, straight hair. Mine is frizzy, dull and curly. I’ll post pictures soon.
